One of my illustrations in the amazing online arts Magazine the Atomy. If you love writing, music, photography and illustration have a peek:)
“First Love”
by Darcy AllanIn her words:
“I remember my first love being a little redheaded boy named Christopher. We were in kindergarten together and he was forever running around and was such a “boy.” I invited him to my birthday party and he gave me a package of neon stretchy elastics. They were so popular. But then the year ended and I think he moved.
Sometimes first loves don’t have to be this earth shattering, overly emotional experience. After Christopher there were a slew of other little boys I gave my heart out to, but the first one always stays in your heart. They may be gone, but they’re never forgotten.”

One time I did this illustration, but then I hated it, so I painted over the whole thing. I’m hoping I can reuse the canvas and that it doesn’t haunt it for future projects. A digital version remains.
Today we made little chalkboards out of trays in my little owls art class.
Here is my kitten Penny illustrated. She was a great model and only moved 76 times.

Some snip snaps from a recent Open House Charity event at work. These are things I made.
